Sekisui House Group Diversity and Inclusion Promotion
Remaining relevant in society, as a company that grows with its employees
A global movement that emphasizes management for realizing a sustainable society of diversity and inclusion has been sweeping the world in recent years. The Sekisui House Group was quick to highlight the importance of building a sustainable society, and in 2005 we issued the Declaration of Sustainability. We have been practicing a balanced management based on the four key values of the environment, economy, society, and residents. Our management is largely in the same direction as the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which were adopted by all United Nations Member States in 2015. Sekisui House has been moving ahead with ESG management that emphasizes the environment (E), society (S), and governance (G), so that we can fulfill our corporate responsibilities and contribute to society through our sustainable growth.
In 2006, we announced the 「」 policy, in recognition of the need for a workplace that can accommodate diverse workstyles and lifestyles in a full-scale aging society with a declining birthrate. Sekisui House has set the three pillars of our diversity and inclusion promotion policy as promoting the active participation of women, the active participation of diverse personnel, and promoting a variety of working styles and work-life balance. We have been creating mechanisms and facilitating an environment for the sustainable growth of employees and the company.
As it has been, and will continue to be. The Sekisui House Group is striving to become a leader in ESG management. We will continue to provide new value in society, by linking our business strategy to the common global goals of the SDGs.
Human Resources Sustainability
In developing the human resources required to realize the Declaration of Sustainability, Sekisui House has set the three pillars of promoting the active participation of women, the active participation of diverse personnel, and promoting a variety of working styles and work-life balance to achieve the sustainable growth of employees and the company.
