Sekisui House endeavors to promote positive dialog with stakeholders through direct communications in order to obtain correct and clear understanding of its management philosophy and policy and establish appropriate, trusted relations. Sekisui House refers to opinions of stakeholders in making management decisions.
Standard of Information Disclosure
In carrying out information disclosure, Sekisui House observes the Financial Instruments and Exchange Act, other legislation, and rules on timely disclosure defined by the stock exchanges on which Sekisui House is listed.
For timely disclosure, Sekisui House makes every effort to assure prompt and fair disclosure of information that is not required by rules, including any decisions or occurrences believed to have bearing on the decisions of investors, information about its business results, and any information about its products, technology, services, etc. for which disclosure to stakeholders is thought to be desirable.
Method of Information Disclosure
Sekisui House registers information that requires disclosure pursuant to rules on timely disclosure on the TDnet System of the Tokyo Stock Exchange. Information disclosed on TDnet, together with other information, is also disclosed by various other means, including press releases, the Sekisui House website and financial statements for results briefing sessions, in efforts to make extensive and fair disclosure of information to as many stakeholders as possible.
Beyond this, Sekisui House regularly publishes sustainability reports, business reports and annual reports for shareholders in order to keep stakeholders informed about its management policy and the status of business and its progress.
In order to ensure fairness and to prevent leaks of information related to financial results, Sekisui House employs a quiet period which as a rule lasts for approximately two weeks prior to the date of an announcement of financial results. During the quiet period, Sekisui House refrains from providing any new information related to the upcoming financial results, either in response to specific inquiries thereto or as part of any other statement or comment. We will respond to any inquiries concerning information that has already been released.
